Defining a “skipped week” for staple grocery reorders

Fashion-app retention windows travel poorly into grocery. A household that orders cooking oil every four weeks is not “churned” on day twenty-one.

In reorder sessions we ask operators to list their top twenty SKUs by repeat purchase and group them into weekly, fortnightly, and monthly staples. A skipped week then means: no order in a window that matches that household’s prior median gap, plus a small grace buffer for festive travel. Lapsed status should require two missed windows, not one quiet week during school holidays.

Bring CRM and operations into the same room when you lock these labels — otherwise campaign lists and warehouse forecasts will keep drifting apart.
